Butterfly Valve
Butterfly valves; It is a type of valve with a compact structure, sealing and occupying much less space than other valves, used to keep fluids such as gas, liquid, partial or viscous under control. Butterfly valves have a wide range of uses. Examples of these usage areas are areas such as treatment plants, energy stations, water and wastewater installations, chemical and petrochemical plants, shipping, heating and cooling lines, paper industry, food industry. Butterfly valves, which are mostly used in water and hot water installations today, take their name from the shape of the disc and shaft. Butterfly valves are highly preferred because they take up little space, are easy to use and come together from light parts. The materials used in the production may vary according to the installations they are applied to and the flow types of the substances. Butterfly valves are also used for pressurized media, fluids containing solids and fluids containing dust. Butterfly valves are produced from parts called disc, body, shaft and sealing element. The discs inside the butterfly valves are supported by a shaft along a vertical extension. The disc materials used are mostly produced from stainless steel materials, as well as castings using materials such as bronze or ductile iron. Stainless steel is mostly preferred in the production of butterfly valves, because stainless steels provide longer life and durability in flows compared to other materials. The shaft inside the valves must be made of stainless steel. Sealing element, which is another part used in butterfly valves, is mostly produced from EPDM material. Apart from this article; Sealing elements are also produced from materials such as PTFE, NBR, CSM, FPM, CR, Q and NR. The temperature values of the materials used in the sealing elements may vary according to the types of fluidity. The dimensions of butterfly valves are mostly between 50-2400 mm. Smaller diameter valves can also be preferred according to pressure changes. As Akvemtek Engineering, we design and manufacture products such as Concentric Butterfly Valve, Double-Offset Butterfly Valve, Triple-Offset Butterfly Valve, Wafer-Style Butterfly Valve, Lug-Style Butterfly Valve, Double-Flanged Butterfly Valve, Butt-Weld Butterfly Valve.
Cryogenic Valve
A cryogenic valve is one such type of industrial valve. As the name suggests, this type of valve is specifically designed for very cold applications. These valves can easily tolerate extremely low temperatures and perform well in these conditions. This type of valve is widely used in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) or Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) companies. Cryogenic valves are designed to operate with cryogenic gases. It can easily transport and store these gases Cryogenic valve is a special type of valve designed to reduce temperature and prevent safety hazards. Its design is unique and makes it one of a kind. A cryogenic valve is designed for use at extremely low temperatures. This type of valve is used to transfer a liquid medium such as liquid oxygen or hydrogen from one point to another. It can also be used to transfer liquefied petroleum or natural gas. It can also be used to gasify a product that can increase its volume hundreds of times. This is because it can handle pressures of up to one billion pounds per square inch. Because of its low temperature and high permeability, cryogenic valves require a special type of valve material. A typical cryogenic valve is made of stainless steel, which has an extremely low melting point. The lowest temperature of a cryogenic valve is -196°C. The temperature of the working environment is low, which makes it highly flammable, explosive and poisonous.
